Recreating another classic: The Incredible Machine

The holy grale of game industry is probably that you'd come up with a truly original game series; something experimental that would get people say "whoa" and that is truly original.

We have seen this happen from time to time in the commercial scene; Minecraft, Super Meat Boy, etc. But there's a huge survivorship bias behind that. The usual game is still quite unorigial — in fact, there's a huge segment of people wanting to get back to the old hames that they have played when they were kids themselves.

Cherising those moments is great, and I've tried to recreare some of my favourite games in the past. One of the most influental and fun games for me has always been The Incredible Machine, a game where you sove physics puzzles by moving familiar-looking objects around.

So here's my first prototype for bringing that game alive again. Play it here: https://jesse.games/testing-physics-game/proto/
